I have a Galaxy A8+ 2018 and it now has a green screen with the words ODIN MODE as the first line of miniscule text.
The screen indicates a download arrow and cannot be turned off. The phone can't be turned off either.
There were instructions to press the volume down switch to reject the download and continue normal operations but that didn't happen.
I was told by the tech at Harvey Norman, that no one in Australia will touch the phone as the serial number indicates it was marketed in Singapore. I bought it through a Sydney firm here in Aust. It was made in VietNam. All suggestions for a fix or how to get all my valued info transferred to a new phone will be greatly appreciated.
