I've had this phone for a very long time and it's a very very good phone at one time there was an update and for some reason I couldn't use the QR code scanner when I sleep on the top of the screen to see the sailings it had some sort of update which really ruined it because I can never find it again and I had to download an app turn the last year so I broke my screen on my phone Larissa still been working very well and had to the point where I didn't matter comment on the Samsung community they mentioned for me to replace the screen it would it cost me babe 120 130 where I was but I just decided to buy a second-hand phone brand new which is fantastic so I know how to a 12 but on the second a12 I have no problem scrolling the screen down from the top and the QR scanner code is there is there anyway on my first phone I can under reinstall to get the QR scan code from sliding down I'm also even having trouble of when I take a photo and then want to use that image to search the Google engine can anybody help me please once again the second phone that I got his fantastic I'm so glad that I bought two it really shows the durability of a Samsung screen phone

Are you able to try:

Swipe down from top of screen to Quick Panel > Swipe down again > ⋮ > Edit Buttons > Add QR Scanner

I did but it's not there ,on my second a12 it is that's only because I haven't updated it.I have updated the software ect and it's still there when u scroll down

Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.
