setup for clock widgets ??

I have downloaded 2 different "clock widgets" Because those standard Stupid Samsung digital clocks are bllldy Tiny to read.
Both widgets have been installed - But Not showing Up. I tried the 1st one because that would not show up - then tried 2nd one -same.
I use my Power Button to view the time ( Unlock screen) - But still that stupid Samsung tiny (dxk) shows up Only. What am I doing wrong ??? is there a youtube tutorial that Applies the appropriate setting ???

Are the apps for lock screen widgets , or home screen? Try holding down on a blank part of the home screen, then click widgets and see if you can add them from there.

Once you place the widget you can stretch it out from the corners...
