Update to A71 5G problems

Since the last android update to my samsung A71 5G on August 12 my S4 watch will no longer sync my steps to samsung health on my phone. My sleep tracking will no longer sync to my phone. Samsung Pay does not work. When I go to enter my pin I get a message saying Samsung keyboard is opening please wait but it never opens. Very frustrated. I have reset the watch and uninstaller and reinstalled the apps but I am sure it was the update on August 12. Can anyone help or is it just a matter to wait for an update that fixes all these bugs? Thanks

Hi @stevenjk, thanks for bringing this t our attention. This sounds odd. 

Could you confirm whether both the Watch and mobile are up to date? 

I suggest sending an error report within 2-3 minutes of the issue occurring for this to be investigated by our research and development team. Error reports assist with identifying any deviations in your device performance. Once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further steps.

To send an error report:
Samsung Members app > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.

Also one thing i have noticed when uninstalling and reinstalling an app (company app) is that it didn't quite clear all of the background data (cache), i had to manually delete that THEN reinstall the app. It then did actually start fresh.

To do this, do as follows.

Open your app menu > hold down on the app icon > select 'app info' > select 'storage' > select 'clear data'.

Hopefully it works for you.
