Galaxy AIt's totally disappeared!
This function was used to stop the app going to sleep.
Device/ software version:
Samsung Galaxy A35 / One UI 6.1 / Android v14
This still exists on my S22+, when I do this:
Multitasking recent apps view> tap app icon> tap 'keep app open'.
Does 'lock this app' mean the same thing?
Is there a need setting somewhere to enable this? Has Samsung removed it from the A series? Did I miss something?

I believe so, in a way. Locking the app means that it cannot be closed from recents.

Incorrect, this problem predates the One UI 6 update

Newer updates remove this functionality. To do the exact same job, open
DEVICE CARE -> MEMORY -> EXCLUDED APPS.
This does the same function, not letting the selected app go to sleep, keeping it running in the background when the phone optimises automatically.
