It rakes my Samsung Galaxy A25 about 3-5 seconds to take a photo. This is truly horrible and very annoying has people can't hold a true smile for 5 seconds while my phone sorts out it's life choices.

I have the setting set to the 12mp setting and aren't using any fancy settings like motion picture or scene optimiser.

Have you tried to reset the camera setting and see if it fix the problem?

I think it's just the fact that it autofocus before every signal short and doesn't let you take it until it has focused which is really bad when your trying to take photos of stuff in the dark. It also doesn't help when you don't know when the camera is going to take the photo.

IMHO Modnet, it's because it's a Samsung...

I've had 3 in about 12 months with all of them having horrendous lag time to do the simplest of things such as typing - I tap a key and there can be a 5 second delay before the letter actually appears.bImpeoves after resetting but doesn't last long. I found with the last 3 phones anytime I was playing with the camera, the phone would *** itself and either fail and not take the picture, or it would freeze (sort of, couldn't exit camera but the screen didn't freeze & the scene changed when phone was moved) - I would have to reset the phone or use the Good Lok Registar module where back tap is enabled (had set that up to open recent apps so I could close all when the phone decided to have a tanty & *** itself...

First was the A73 which had the most incredibly amazing camera for night photography but had such a lag It was painful. The next phone was an a53 which had the screen fail whilst it was on charge. I contacted Samsung via chat and stupidly followed the consultants advice and reset the phone by holding the side & volume down buttons, only to realise once it had reset the screen doesn't work and I can't see where I need to put in the pin to unlock it, despite explaining the fact the screen wasn't working and the phone had not been dropped - three or four photos were sent to the support person to confirm the phone had no cracks in the screen from being dropped.) consultant then asked if I had a HDMI USB-C cable to plug it in the TV which didn't work and after a few moments of fruitless effort was told I could drop the phone in at an authorised service centre some 90 odd case away from home to be looked at and the cost would be a minimum of about $300 to replace the screen - there was no response when I queried that the phone was under warranty, & was met by the thunderous sounds of silence.
BTW valued reader - I now have a exquisite Samsung A53 paperweight in good condition if anyone is in the market for one (all offers considered - genuine enquiries only).

Stupidly, instead of throwing good money after bad I purchased an A54 thinking my luck can't be that bad (TBH, my luck is ***e - I dunno what I was thinking and kind of deserve this. Third time's a charm but there's some sort of exclusion to that where I'm involved.)

I've also noticed that even without being on charge the phones all got warm to the touch but when charging they get hot - Samsung are aware of this and state that this does not affect performance of the phone. Unsure which monkey at Samsung decided that because I can tell you the phone is *** useless in that situation.. log off, log on, restart, rinse and repeat.)

Needless to say I'm, done with Samsung & will never buy another of their products. The products aren't bad, just don't seem to work as they should.

(Replying to the last line) Their software is their strong point buy their hardware is there weakness.
