Hello!

Anyone from the PH using a telco (Globe Telecom) provided Note 10 Plus device experiencing the same issue?

After the Android 11 upgrade, my phone doesn't recognize the sim cards when a sim is used on the secondary sim slot. I thought it was an issue with Gomo but I also tried a prepaid Globe sim on the 2nd slot and none of the sims work. I get an error "com.android.phone keeps stopping" message and it only works when there's only one sim inserted.

Even when the 2nd slot is turned off I still experience the issue.

I have not tried the resetting the phone settings. I'm hoping to use that as last resort. I'm not sure whether it's just my phone or anyone else encountered the same thing.

I experienced sim issue too but a different situation. I'm using Samsung A70 and after Android 11 update my phone restarts over and over whenever i inserted my sim card. It doesn't matter whether it's my current sim or a newly purchased one. Also a Globe user here

Hey there! Amazing day! You may try this steps as suggested by Reesch (fellow member here) with regards to auto restart of A70 phone:

"How to fix a Galaxy A70 that keeps rebooting by itself

Fixing a phone that keeps rebooting by itself is a bit tricky. It’s because this kind of problem can be due to a hardware issue, especially if  your phone has recently been dropped or got wet. However, it can also be due to a minor firmware issue that affects the overall performance of your device. It seems like some owners of the Galaxy A70 have encountered a problem like this.

We have encountered similar issues in the past and many of those cases have been fixed by doing some basic troubleshooting procedures. That’s what we’re going to do in this post. I will share with you the solutions we’ve been using in fixing a smartphone that keeps rebooting by itself.

Troubleshooting a Galaxy A70 that keeps rebooting

Performance issues, while they’re pretty annoying, aren’t really that serious.  You only need to do a few troubleshooting procedures to make your phone work perfectly again. That’s what we’re going to do here, we will consider all possibilities and then rule them out one after another until we can fix your phone and prevent it from rebooting by itself.

Connect the phone to its charger and see if it still reboots

First off, we need to know if this is a problem with the hardware, specifically the battery. We all know that among all hardware components, the battery is the first to deteriorate, especially if you’re an intensive user. When the battery starts to fail, it might begin with random, infrequent reboots. Then the frequency goes up until you can no longer be able to use your phone properly because of the said problem.

So, the first thing you have to do is connect your phone to its charger and allow it to charge for a few minutes before using it like you always do. Your device will normally heat up fast if you use it while charging but if the problem disappears while your phone is connected to the charger, then it can be a sign of a battery issue. But nevertheless, it’s best to continue troubleshooting.

Run your phone in safe mode

By running your phone in safe mode, you are temporarily disabling all third-party applications. It is important to do this procedure because it will tell you immediately if this problem is caused by one of the apps you installed. This is how to run your phone in safe mode:

  1. Press and hold the Power key until options show.
  2. Tap and hold the Power off option until it changes into Safe Mode.
  3. Tap the Safe mode icon to restart your device.
  4. Once the reboot is successful, you should see ‘Safe mode’ at the lower-left corner of the screen.

Once your phone has successfully booted up in safe mode, try to use the phone and see if it still keeps rebooting by itself. If the problem is fixed, then here’s what you need to do next:

  1. Restart your phone normal to boot into standard mode.
  2. Remember the apps you installed about the time when the phone starts to reboot by itself.
  3. Once you already have an app in mind, swipe down from the top of the screen to pull the notification panel down.
  4. Tap the Settings icon on the upper-right corner.
  5. Scroll to and then tap Apps.
  6. Find and tap suspected app.
  7. Tap Storage.
  8. Touch Clear data and tap OK to confirm.
  9. Tap the back key once and then touch Uninstall.
  10. Confirm that you want to remove the app from your phone.

However, if your phone still reboots by itself even in safe mode, then move on to the next solution.

Reset all settings on your phone that keeps rebooting

At this point, it’s best to try and bring your phone back to its default settings and configuration, because it’s possible that this problem is caused by some of the settings that may have caused some inconsistencies to the phone’s normal operation. You don’t have to worry because none of your files will be deleted. Here’s how you do it:

  1. Swipe down from the top of the screen to pull the notification panel down.
  2. Tap the Settings icon on the upper-right corner.
  3. Scroll to and tap General management.
  4. Touch Reset.
  5. Tap Reset settings.
  6. Tap the Reset settings button.
  7. If prompted, enter your PIN, Password or Pattern.
  8. Finally, tap Reset.

If your Galaxy A70 still keeps rebooting by itself after this procedure, move on to the next one.

Wipe the cache partition

Wiping the cache partition will delete the old system cache and replace it with a new one. There are times when the cache gets corrupted and will result in a problem like this. So to rule this one out, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Turn off the device.
  2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Power keys.
  3. When the Galaxy A70 logo shows, release the keys.
  4. Your Galaxy A70 will continue to boot up into the Recovery Mode. Once you see a black screen with blue and yellow texts, proceed to the next step.
  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
  6. Press Power key to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
  8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
  9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

If your phone still keeps rebooting after this, then do the next solution.

Perform the Master reset on your phone

A master reset can always fix performance issues including this one. However, make sure to create a backup of your important files and data, because they will all be deleted and you may not be able to retrieve them. Also, after doing the backup, remove your Google account so that you won’t be locked out. When ready, follow these steps to reset your phone:

  5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight ‘wipe data / factory reset’.
  6. Press Power button to select.
  7. Press the Volume down key until ‘Yes’ is highlighted.
  8. Press Power button to select and start the master reset.
  9. When the master reset is complete, ‘Reboot system now’ is highlighted.
  10. Press the Power key to restart the device.

I hope that this simple troubleshooting guide has been helpful."

I have my unit factory reseted for over 5x, still does the issue. I can't even finished the initial setup process due to the frequest restarts. I already did wiping cache/partition and safe mode is out of the option since i conduct factory reset no third party apps should be installed in there.
