Green line issue on Samsung Note 20 Ultra

Dear Samsung Mobile, Please understand our frustration regarding this issue that widely has been going on with our phones lately. Im a careful Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G user, never dropped my phone at all before. My device is totally case protected as well as the screen too. After my June 2023 firmware update all was fine for 2 weeks, and suddenly permanent green line appeared on the screen. I have done all sort of trouble shoot my self from restart to factory reset, but nothing worked. In the end i bring it to your Premium Samsung Service Center, Lowyat Plaza, Malaysia and all i get was suggestion to replace the screen with total of RM 1149.80 as my device was out or warranty. Seriously, This device is not cheap, i buy it at RM 4K for this device on 2020, and within 3 years get this green line on my screen due to Samsungs OLED screen issue, yet the customers who trusted and buy your product have to pay that much of amount to get screen replaced. This issue is happening to many OLED screen devices globally and obviously its your lack of quality checks have caused it. You guys should have checked and test it completely before releasing this product. I do see news feom other website that free screen replacement has been given by Samsung in India and Korea despite the device is out of warranty for those devices that impacted by the green line issue. I hope Samsung Malaysia should do the same to your trusted consumers as me here as well. The value of money that i spend to get this device is not very cheap, for me to just ditch it at corner and move to another device. Please help us. Please do not ask me to go to your service centre again unless you get a solution for this issue or give us freen screen replacement. I hope Samsung Mobile Malaysia will consider and have some sort of empathy on your Malaysian Consumers. Thank you

I'm having the same issues after updating the version. Went to Lowyat...i was asked to
pay RM1149 for screen replacement. This is sooooi frustrating.

i faced the same issue this afternoon, after updating the latest software version this morning. its very disappointed as we as consumer bought this high-end phone and its embarrassing when other friends looking at my phone. Samsung Malaysia please look into the concerns from the stakeholders or at least please response...

I also facing the same issue as you guys after updated. Yes. I'm also frustrated, I never drop my phone before. I saw news forum in India. They are so **bleep** good. All free replacement even no more warranty from Samsung. Why India and Korea are giving free replacement but not Malaysia? Malaysia samsung charged us **bleep** expensive, can even buy a new mobile phone. Yes, this samsung note 20 ultra 5g not cheap device. Samsung Malaysia will you see our comment here? Please response to us. Should be free... even Korea also free... why Malaysia charged their user? Shouldn't charged us especially we are from a poor country. Can you guys do your works. Talk to your HQ from Korea. I only used the mobile phone less than 3yrs. 💔

Hi all samsung phone owners. It seems like samsung malaysia is not bothering this much. Let's gather in a group and I think we can get lawyer easily to sue samsung malaysia for this. Don't think it's a problem to win this case easily. Let's bring this to court, shall we? Let's gather in a group in fb.

I had been report from March 2023 till now but them no offer free replacement, now my note20 Ultra from 1 green line to more than 20lines and today appear the 1st white line. still update to latest firmware today1.jpg2.jpg

wow.. its seems your problem is seems to be worst then mine. So far i only got 1line, but yours seems to have alot. Feel very sorry for you. Well, i dont think SAMSUNG Malaysia ever gonna bother about this issue anymore. Well, if tgey dont wanna replace for free, atleast reduce the price of the lcd for half should be ok too. Atleast make it for RM 500 instead of RM 1000++... but no, SAMSUNG MALAYSIA WANT MORE MONEY FROM OUR CUSTOMERS.. WE DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS AND THEIR SO CALL ROYALTY B¥££ §H!T, they say... So all im saying is, after this DONT BUY SAMSUNG PHONES... Just go for other brand options.. its time for not to stick our money and brain to one brand only.. we should explore more brands and options out there..
