Green/Pink/White Vertical Lines (Solved)

Anyone went to repair their screen because of the vertical line appearing on screen? Will the lines reoccurs and how much is the repair cost?

Currently considering between repairing or changing of phone.

The green lines appearing vertically across the screen have nothing to do with software. It is a hardware fault in the LCD circuitry. It happened to me suddenly yesterday. I intend to call Samsung tomorrow and ask for free component replacement and service fee.

From what I understand through reading articles and videos it was an software update that cause the phone to heat up easily which leads to the lines appearing. Nevertheless please give me an update on what samsung say and how much the replacement fee.

I think u better go down and have the service centre checked. As the longer u drag and more lines appear, the chance of a replacement is slimmer. With IamBudgies' advice, it's best to visit them early.

Yeah, before it gets worse and they will deny that it's due to software update.

i agree. bright vertical pink line appeared after software update and reboot and  I was charging the phone. I didn't drop it or anything at all.

Hi, I don't think it's possible for a LCD to fail that quickly. I had my S3 and Note 5 LCDs still working till today and haven't gotten any replacement before. S3 is already coming to 12 years and Note 5 is nearly 8 years. So fight for ur case. Hope u can get a replacement at no cost. 💪

I went to the service centre at westgate and the samsung guy said they able to repair s20 models and below affected by green line FOC. However, S21 onwards not FOC 🤦
Any1 else managed to repair their S21 phones FOC?

Hi Guys have been quite busy till I forgot about this. Samsung had offered a free one time replacement for the LCD screen and Battery for Note 20 Ultra. They will only charge $54 for the labour fee if there is no other defects on the phone after their check.

If there are any other defects they will call, inform the cost and asked for the permission before repairing. If chose not to repair they would not repair anything and the $54 labour fee still applies. 

Had sent 2 Note 20 Ultra (Out of Warranty) in and only charges $54 for labour fee. Hope this help you guys facing LCD issues.

Is anyone planning to go to samsung, actually if all of us go together we can make a big impact on this issue and change the outcome for good and for the future. I noticed a lot of people in india did that. They went in groups of 5 or 6 all with same issue and then samsung finally had to make it official. At least this is what I have picked up from forums. My s21 plus just got a faint pink line after july update.
