Hi, just switched from note9 to note20 ultra, not impressed with additional screens to navigate when making call or msg with dual sim, note 9 was easy to select in same screen. Bad change Samsung need to go back to Note9 way......have already sent several msg from wrong (personal sim) for business 🤬🤬

Hi @rob5718, sorry to hear about this. To change the preferred SIM cards on your Note 20 Ultra, you must set it for both phone calls and text messages separately. The steps to set a Preferred SIM are as follows:

- Preferred SIM for Phone calls: Contacts app > > edit your contact settings to choose a preferred SIM to call from.

- Preferred SIM for Messages: Open Messages > Click conversation you would like to set preferred SIM > ⋮ > Toggle SIM1 or SIM2 to set it as default.

If your conversations or contacts do not have a preferred SIM via these settings, it will use the Default SIM set in your SIM card manager. Your SIM card manager can be found via Settings > Connections > SIM card manager.

Thank you for raising this question with us, I will be passing on your feedback to the research team in the hopes of simplifying these steps in the future.

Thank you for your comments, & yes I know how to set preferences on sim card. What I am saying is the system on the note9 was a much simpler system that allowed you to choose in the same screen without setting "prefered sim" or having to toggle between screens. You could choose this in the same screen when messaging or calling. With dual sim the convenience factor is now more steps & allows for error easier. Got back to Note9 system for handling dual sim
