I've watched a lot of video tutorials on how to save battery etc. I read comments that factory resetting the device has helped some people significantly improve their battery life. What do guys think about that?

Depends on the cause of the battery drain. If the device is old, then the battery is old too. Factory reset won't help with that. If an app is the cause, then deleting that app will help. Factory reset is a bit drastic but it will solve it if that is the root cause of the drain. If all else fails, then yeah fo a factory reset. But be sure of the cause of the drain first.

Phone is less than a month old, I don't even use it often because I use my iPad more. I have no social media, only YouTube and sometimes Spotify. I've put most apps to sleep / deep sleep. Power saving mode is one. I don't know what else could cause battery to drain so fast. Any thoughts?

We have the same phone although maybe a different make but the same chip and all. What's your SOT currently?

SOT is usually 4 hours? I haven't used my phone lately, since I'm trying to figure out the battery issue. But whenever I watch YouTube tutorials, and read comments, my phone really drains quite fast compared to others after doing all the battery settings like night mode, power saving, dark theme, disable animations, disable edge panel, turn off 5g, turn off or put apps to sleep, use standard mode etc.. I've don't all those but my battery hasn't improved one bit.

Did you check in the Battery and Device Care to see what is causing it?

Do you have the latest update for your device? Try wiping the cache partition first.

It won't work with a headset plugged in. Plug it to a laptop or a PC then do the button combination.
