I'm an S22 Ultra user and, like many, I'm really frustrated with the One UI 6.0 launch in Australia.

We're Android users, power users, and these things matter to us. When I pay a premium for a device, I expect premium performance in return. I was actually planning to upgrade to the S24 Ultra this year, but not anymore.

What's made things worse is the lack of clear communication from the company, and them blaming the service providers. I find it both frustrating and somewhat insulting to see mid-range devices gettimg the latest update before ours.

Really disappointed in you Samsung!

I recognise that Ozau was entitled to express their disappointment AND I have supported similar views elsewhere.

It Is entitled to say "When I pay a premium for a device, I expect premium performance in return." Without knowing the reasons for the delay his/her statement is very arrogant. To make a claim that "we're Android users" - well so is everyone else using a Samsung device. "power users" is an unsubstantiated claim. Even if you are awaiting a very special feature, if you are a genuine power user you can live with a delay. I have pointed out elsewhere a number of possible reasons which could affect priorities.

I understand that people try to push their own case as a priority but if you look at "disappointed purchaser" YOU are also supporting the entitled claim as to why it is a special case. Again, there could be a number of reasons for the timing of updates.

I don't know what is the basis for your comment about "same investment". Does owning an S23 FE count? In any case your claim about investment is both entitled and irrelevant. Could the commitment I have made to the members' forum entitle me to being given special treatment. I don't believe so.

Often people who refer to issues such as trolling are trying to attack to distract from weaknesses in the logic in their argument. Indeed your last comment puts up a case of my being one of several categories. Terribly illogical because it tries to restrict me to certain catgories to win an argument when I could be in a different one entirely. Perhaps a category specific to being pissed off by entitled comments.

I note you haven't defended Ozau's abusive and totally incorrect (and indefensible) statement starting "Idiots like you ..." Perhaps Ozau should apologise for both the inaccuracy and the abuse. So should you.

I'm sorry , feel better now.

Regardless of your "Entitled" rant the simple fact is that S22 users here in Australia have been left out in the dark with regard to software updates.

Learned members like yourself have expressed possible reasons for the delays for which I will be eternity grateful.

However, Samsung has given us nothing .. There is no estimated time, no reasons for the delay, nothing absolutely nothing.

You may have expressed support for others with similar views but your not Samsung. Or are you.

Thank you. No I am not Samsung 😃 Yes, I have also been disgusted by Samsung's failure to make any statement on both the S22 and other model delays. I have had a thought on one of the many possible causes for the delay. 5G. Australia adopted a non standard frequency, possibly one of the major frequencies. The S22 and possibly some other models may not currently be able to use that frequency although this doesn't explain the extensive delay in other countries. Samsung may not be able to fix the problem if that is the cause, but the possibility intrigues me. Whilst you are kind enough to refer to me as learned I don't consider myself in that light. There are a number of professionally trained members whose knowledge far exceeds mine.
Best wishes

I think this makes sense and really highlights Samsung's lack of competency with there own products.

I would of thought OneUI6.1 would of been released to the S23 series when the S24 series was released

Same boat. S22u is great, but suffers from poor product support. For power users, that a fatal flaw.

Was thinking of trying Pixel. What do you think?

Pixel phone have battery issues. Not long lasting compared to Samsung. Plus the pixel tensor processor is underperforming.
