Hi, I own a Samsung S20 and when I use Android Auto after playing a few songs the current playing song information freezes. The next song will start but the previous song information and album art is still stuck on the screen.

Samsung blames Google and Google does nothing so I'm hoping actually users can fix my issue.

Clearing data and cache doesn't work and I've tried 5 different USB cables and even a factory reset but nothing works.

I'm really getting annoyed with this

Try a different music player. I'm using Poweramp and I've never had any issues

Your lucky I was having some issues with my S10+ connecting to my car stereo through USB running Android auto and WebLink after the update today it won't connect with my stereo at all my phone is slower to open apps seems these updates don't improve performance at all just made my phone slower and slower after Samsung has blocked all access to android folder for supposed security purposes for who's I have no idea for one I'm not happy with having parts of my phone closed off to me I had lost heaps of photos and video because of this I wouldn't be surprised there other reasons Samsung has blocked all access to android folder that contains all app software I know I'll never be buying other Samsung phones or anything else made by Samsung Screenshot_20210620-190854_My Files.jpgScreenshot_20210620-190848_My Files.jpg

I'm sorry to hear about this, @strikx69. I would suggest checking that your car's system is also up to date, as there may be compatibility issues with the newer software on your S10+ and the older software of your car. You would have to check this on your car manufacturer's website.

For your android folder, this was a design decision made by Google, where apps can no longer access the data folder. I'm sorry to hear that this led to you losing photos and videos.

If you have any other queries, please don't hesitate to let us know.

Hi @Optima, sorry to hear about this issue. What app do you use to play your music with?

I would suggest ensuring that your Bluetooth and Android Auto app are up to date on your S20. Then, I would also recommend checking that your car's Bluetooth is up to date. Depending on your car model and manufacturer, the way to update is different, but you can check this on the manufacturer's website.

Let us know how this goes!

Hi, I currently use YouTube Music but Spotify and Amazon Music do the same thing. Phone is completely up to date and the car (KIA Cerato) has been upgraded to the latest 2021 firmware.

We have a thread on the Android Auto community forms with many other users reporting this issue. All cars are different makes and models and so far ALL are samsung phones both A and S series.

Thank you for clarifying, @Optima. I would suggest that the best course of action would be to send and error report through Samsung Members app so that our team can take a look into this issue. To send an error report, please see here: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tips-tricks/sending-error-reports/td-p/9617204

Think I have found the issue.

I download my music to my phone due to not having much data but it appears when the music is downloaded to the phones main storage the issue appears. I just added a sd card and downloaded all my music to that and it now works perfectly. Either there is something wrong with my internal storage or the S20 has a nasty bug.
