I have S10 5g and cannot get Android Auto to work. Is there a problem with this phone?

Hi @TommyW, have you got USB Debugging enabled?

1. Phone Settings > System > About Phone > Software Information > Tap 7 times on Build Number to enable Developer Mode

2. Phone Settings > Developer Options > USB Debugging On

3. Phone Settings > Developer Options > Default USB Configuration > Set to USB Tethering

Hope this helps!

Would not allow USB tethering to turn on when USB was not connected. So have turned on Bluetooth tethering. Google says USB debugging needs to be turned off for AA to work.
Will let you know.

Tried changing settings but did not work. Google said AA would not work with USB debugging turned on. Is there somewhere I can take this phone for someone to have a look at it because AA would be very helpful.

Hi @TommyW, here are some other troubleshooting steps you could try before taking your phone in to one of our authorised service centres.

- Please check that your car's Bluetooth is up to date. This would vary depending on model and manufacturer, so please check on the manufacturer's website on how to do this.

- Clearing Bluetooth cache and data: To do this go to Settings > Apps> ⋮ > toggle on Show system apps> Bluetooth> Storage> Clear cache and clear data.

- Clear cache and data for Android Auto and Google Play Services app: to do this, follow the same steps as for Bluetooth.

- Reset your network settings: Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings > RESET NETWORK SETTINGS. Please note that doing this will reset all network connections.

Let us know how you go, @TommyW.
