Galaxy SAlso go to Play Store, in your account go to Settings and change update settings to allow updating via wi-fi. Restart try updating. And, of course, if it works stay within wi-fi range until updates are complete. An alternative is to turn wi-fi off and try updating via your mobile data.
Another option is to read up on clearing caches. When updates occur sometimes old code is left and interferes with new code.
Another thing to try, but not as an on-going solution, is to open in Safe mode and try updating in that mode. Normally an excellent idea but since a core issue affecting many apps I think this is unlikely to work but worth trying.
