Apps not getting updated in S22 ultra

Last few days I am not able to update many apps from play store. The update fails after the download completed. Is any anyone facing similar issues? Is it something to do with Sept security patch or something else?

Try this as well. At the same time as clearing an app cache also clear cache for "Google play services". Then restart. This uses some app caches settings and maintains the old cache settings. When cleared it picks up the updated settings.

Also go to Play Store, in your account go to Settings and change update settings to allow updating via wi-fi. Restart try updating. And, of course, if it works stay within wi-fi range until updates are complete. An alternative is to turn wi-fi off and try updating via your mobile data.

Another option is to read up on clearing caches. When updates occur sometimes old code is left and interferes with new code.

Another thing to try, but not as an on-going solution, is to open in Safe mode and try updating in that mode. Normally an excellent idea but since a core issue affecting many apps I think this is unlikely to work but worth trying.

Only Google developed apps like Gmail YouTube etc are getting updated. Rest all are erroring out.

You can always try to uninstall the app and reinstall it just to see in case
