Galaxy S1. Note messages don't swap and the only see them if you open the relevant app.
2.In this next step you WILL lose your messages in that app.
3. Go to Settings, Apps, Samsung Messenger, Storage, clear both caches and restart. Don't touch any Google Messenger icons, doing so will open it and you will be obliged to Force Stop again.
Explanation settings in cache may conflict with updated software.
Restart.

Galaxy SAnd the way it split the message was weird
So off it is, since I turned it off no problems.
Very important as a lot of messages were work related and getting those 4 hour's late was an issue and the whole person is off-line *** especially when you are talking to them.
And yes it did wipe the rcs chats but so worth it really don't know why they bothered let Apple have their dot's I want something that works I'm not needy I don't need to see if my message has been read and I don't need an instant reply if it's important I tend to use the phone's primary function and call lmfao

Samsung Members app > Support > Error reports > select issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘Send system log data’ > ‘Send’ in top right.
