Hi @JoshF saw a recent post on this forum by @Photosbyraffy about capturing Aurora Australis using Nightography settings, albeit he was using a S24 Ultra

https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/members-star-s-corner/nightography-aurora-lights/td-p/29599567

But reading a Samsung page on specifically getting the most out of Nightography settings with any Galaxy S phone (including S23 Ultra) these might be useful to what you're after
https://www.samsung.com/nz/explore/photography/what-is-nightography-your-guide-to-the-basics/

Let me know how it works out for you trying to capture Aurora, never tried these Nightography settings so am interested in how it goes. 👍

The most important part would be setting your phone on a tripod or resting it against something so it can't move. Play with the manual camera settings, setting the exposure anywhere from 5 sec to 10 sec, and even 30 seconds. There's also the astrophotography mode where it can capture an exposure from 1 min to 10 minutes, but it stacks all the information taken into the one photograph. These images below i took using the astrophotography mode on my s23u.

🤩 amazing shots. Jealous that I'm way too far north in Oz to get anything like those stunning Aurora pics :)
