When you clse this page you are on the Community page. Go to top right and use the search symbol t search for battery and add S22 for more specific responses. More suggestions are in the Support page, bottom right. However, you will get even more suggestions by Googling S22 and batery.

In the S22 series including the ultra model which I am using, battery and heat up issues is inherent. Samsung is aware and they are in no mood to fix. They are totally focussing on S23 series and the fold/flip 5 series as it's a revenue generator currently for them. In short we are trapped and let's live with it unless we are going for something else.

Nonetheless there are things you can do to make minor improvements, such as only allowing updates when you are not using tyour device, or running the network on 4G instead od 5G.

I bought a premium phone with a hefty price tag and which is 5g enabled and the expectation is to use 4g instead. Isn't ridiculous to hear this advice including Samsung support.

I fully understand your concerns and, essentially, agree with you. As a fellow Samsung member I am merely making suggestions on how to cope. I would prefer to avoid you blowing up your phone by giving, hopefully, good advice.

I was about to replace it with s23 Ultra. But looking at it's specs didn't find a strong reason to upgrade and value for money. I am keeping an eye on the upcoming s24 Ultra. Let's see how it goes and provoke me for an upgrade.
