What is the best sort of cable to use Samsung dex with. I need the least amount of delay possible and also it needs to be flexible (compatible with most TV's). Right now, i am looking at HDMI to Usb Type-C.

EDIT: I forgot to add this question for Samsung.

Will the Galaxy S24 Ultra Benefit from the HDMI 2.2 standard that is going to release half way through 2025?

I know that to connect this device to a display it uses Usb C, but let's say that there is a Usb-C to HDMI 2.2 cable that releases. Would the s24 ultra benefit from the fast video transfer rate.

HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps)
HDMI 2.2 (96Gbps)

Well, I am using HDMI to Usb Type C in conjunction with a hub but use a hub which allows me to add a usb for a full sized keyboard and usb mouse. Also make sure that you have additional charging because the monitor eats up your phone charge (also connected through my hub but you can also connect direct to your monitor)

Is the latency high. And also if you have tested it with your TV, is the latency still high. I am planning on connecting my S24U to my TV and then gaming with a paired box controller.

Frankly I don't know about latency as I am not using it for gaming. But when internet where speed drops at certain times of day, at latency also look at ping as this looks at quality of connection relating to number of resends to get your communication through. We are using two internet connections, Optus wireless internet usually downloads between around 30 to 70 Mbps, with a recent upgrade taking us up to over 100 Mbps. But it sometimes goes down to less than 10, yes 10, Mbps due to other users. We now also have Starlink which is supposed to be over 200 Mbps download. Often much greater, over 300 Mbps, once just under 400. But at peak times fairly frequently goes to under 150. Strlink, not sure, has higher latency.

If you want to delay your phone draining make sure you are using a charge plug capable of more than 25 watts, AND a high speed charging cable, prereably above 25 watts.

These comments have been made to identify there are a number of issues to review, including maximum wi-fi speed for your wi-fi network as supplied by your router (and distance from your phone to router on the wi-fi network), or use an ethernet cable from your router to your phone with converter.. A fair bit of googling, including hdmi specs, definitely look in Wikipedia on different types of hdmi cables. Also look at YouTube videos.

I know this isn't what you asked and you may know already, just supplying my knowledge.
BTW I don't connect to tv, just using a good but cheap monitor.

My wifi should be fine.

(250 to 270Mbps)

Samsung actually specifies two or three specific cables that are guaranteed to be compatible in the depths of some help file somewhere I've seen

I use a wireless set up and find the latency to be low but it probably depends on what wireless router and the other network conditions that exist I find the latency is much better on Dex compared to display sharing
