Used S20/S21/S22 no issues with calendar but since using S23 Ultra the Samsung calendar has a very annoying trait of dismissing whatever screen on (any app) when receive calendar notification. Doesn't dismiss app but have to go back to view whatever working on as puts me back to home screen.
Have taken off all permissions and the app then starts sending notifications you are not using the calendar (this comes in as normal notification)
So only have two options 1. Spend life dismissing Samsungs calendar notifications that say - not using calendar or 2. Enable Samsung calendar and get kicked off screen working on
The interesting thing is getting rid of S23 mainly due to this problem.. had old S21 Ultra which hard reset before using S23 Ultra restore backup while decide what will buy to replace S23 ultra.
Samsung calendar is now doing same thing on S21 (no issue previously) ... So if buy S25 Ultra & use settings from S23 it will probably have same issue (why looking at Pixel range as no Samsung Calendar)
Have been through all apps and made sure Samsung calendar causing issue (Google's and Microsoft calendars don't send notifications if unselect notifications)
if calendar has via update or something obtained a bug it will more than likely continue to next Samsung calendar
