G'day to members of the community.
I often go for a walk for relaxation, while doing so I listen to YouTube music or talk shows with my phone in my top pocket and cover closed, also listen to radio stations in my area with my s22 ultra, it has a case which informs of low battery, time or a text. That also is closed

However there are music streaming shows that won't play if I close the cover, is there a tweak or code that would allow me hear them when the case is closed
Thankyou for any information

No familiarity with this but using the closed phone includes permissions so I would see if there are permissions you can change.

On phones which have a small screen showing when closed there is a way to install a single app on that screen using widgets. I haven't done this so first go to the Community page, top right, search key words like widget, etc. Then Google include "Samsung" in the key words.

You would need youtube premium to listen while screen off/phone closed.

G'day dollogi
Thankyou for replying.
I am aware that screen closed but you can listen to music with your phone in your pocket.
Same with radio stations where you can listen to talk back.
My question is why is it that it doesn't work on other streaming services.
What has YouTube done that allows you to listen with screen closed.
I sure would to find the answer to this
Thank you

For youtube, a premium account enables that feature set, so perhaps other streaming services are using the same tactic 🤷
I really can't say for sure as I don't use streaming services.

If you do have a subscription for other streaming services, perhaps double-check the app for any settings to enable this or contact the app developer.

That's all I can suggest.

You will need to change the battery usage option to "unrestricted" in the settings with the notification options.
