Cannot transfer files from PC to S20FE

Hi,

I just purchased a S20FE and want to transfer music and photos from my computer to the phone.

I have tried all the options suggested on line and none of them work. Some say a window will appear on the phone with certain text, that does not happen.

I downloaded Smart Switch to my PC that does not offer file transfer except from phone to backup.

How do I transfer my files?

Not all usb cables are specced for data, try another cable. If your computer has wi-fi search for how to use wi-fi direct. Or if you have a Google account - gmail, upload to Google Drive, then download to phone. If different cable works, and Smart switch allows you to select files, e.g. music and photos, then copy and then see if you can download to your phone (have you also downloaded Smart switch to your phone, just asking😅 ). Last resort buy a cable (USB-C one end standard USB port the other and use a USB stick, but cable could be +/- $45.

Hi @Marty, when plugging your device into your computer via cable, you should be prompted on your mobile to allow connection. 

From here, your computer will read the device and you should be able to drag and drop files. 

Alternatively, you can use Smart Switch on computer to transfer files over to your device by following the below guide:
