'The same issue happened on my S10, now the same on my S23 (and only just out of warranty). The phone is perfect condition, never dropped and always has a cover. But over time the connection when plugging into the charger or Android Auto in my car for GPS begins to fail where it wont connect at all now. Not impressed as this is the reason I upgraded my last phone as was perfect condition except for this failure, now the new one has done the same. Any advice?

Samsung phones purchased in Australia that aren't 'grey imports' come with 2 years warranty, and the S23 launched in 17 February 2023, so should definitely have warranty until 2025—so look into that option 😁

Also it's possible that there is an obstruction in your charging port, which, if that's the case, is an easy fix, here's hoping that this helps you get things up and running again!

You also have additional warranty cover provided by the Australian government. If you would like to read other members' posts on warranty then on the main Community page top right use the search option for warranty, unfortunately lots of posts. Otherwise Google "Australian government warranty" to find a number of links.

I have run through many cables and plugs over the years and the main problem has been cables having a curve in them from being moved around. MAKE SURE you read up on cable specs AND plug specs to get the right type. Google "compare usb cables" you will also find this covered in Wikipedia.
