Hi I just bought a Galaxy S20FE. Worked out how to get most of it set up including some stuff about  personal ringtones. But now I have realised that I can't get DTMF to work when I call and need to use touch tone dialling to use automated call systems.

A lot of instructions say there is an option in the phone settings but doesn't seem to be in the settings menu on this phone. Does anybody know how to set the dtmf settings?
TIA
Peter.

Hello
Did you check here?

From a Home screen, tap the Phone icon  (lower-left).

If unavailable, swipe up from the center of the display then tap Phone.

Tap the Menu icon  (upper-right) then tap Settings.

Tap Other call settings.

Tap DTMF tones.

Select one of the following: Normal or Long.

Which one is your mobile operator?

Hi @ellbee, I suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.

To send an error report:

Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.

Hi

Hi
Yes did all that. All the instructions exactly as you posted but as you can see it's not there unless I'm missing something .

I'm with Optus. Screenshot_20210728-040139_Call settings.jpg

Try going to your phone app - tap on settings through the three dots on top right - then tap on call alerts and ringtones - then toggle on 'play sound for keypad taps.

Though when I tested this, it only works when your phone is on vibrate!

Oops. Sorry I meant the keypad dial tone works only in sound mode.

Are you not getting any tones at all???
