Android ver 13

Edge Panels and Dark Mode Control in Settings->Display are greyed out.
Edge Panels are disabled - really need them back as I use them all the time.
Samsung Keyboard is locked in Dark Mode despite a Light Mode being selected.
I have tried:
 - restarting (many times)
 - cleared cache of Edge Panel app
 - checking software updates (all up to date)
 - soft reset (many times)
 - restarted in recovery mode and cleared cache
 -->> no effect

Power Saving Mode is disabled

Factory Resrt is not an option.

Please help

Do you have easy mode turned on?

As @mbckl said, check if you are on easy mode.

Is the edge panel setting showing like this?

No. Easy mode is not on. I can't find that mode even by searching for it. Edge Panels control switch is just grey

Are you using custom launcher or the default from Samsung?

When you open Samsung Members the bottom right option is Support. If you haven't tried this check options there. Using Google Advanced Search where it is easier to get multiple replies filtered by various factors will get you many more useful replies. Use quote marks around phrases for better filtering. I commend you on all the things you have tried. Are you able to backup using both Smartswitch and Google backup (not Samsung) under Settings, Accounts. Also try usb cable connection for copying/backup.Don't backup up tp sim card unless you have created other backups. Sending to Samsung includes wiping your device

When you swipe down from the top of the screen, you find the buttons panel. If you check through the buttons, there is one called dark mode. You can turn it off and on😀1673652503229_1673652503213_0.png

Hi Gulli. Nope that doesn't work. It tells me I can't turn Dark Mode off while Power Saving is on, but Power Saving is off...Screenshot_20230114_133200_One UI Home.jpgScreenshot_20230114_133136_Samsung Members.jpg
