Edge Panels and Dark Mode Disabled

Samsung Galaxy S21 5G...

Android ver 13

Edge Panels and Dark Mode Control in Settings->Display are greyed out. 

Edge Panels are disabled - really need them back as I use them all the time.

Samsung Keyboard is locked in Dark Mode despite a Light Mode being selected. 

I have tried:

 - restarting (many times)

 - cleared cache of Edge Panel app

 - checking software updates (all up to date)

 - soft reset (many times)

 - restarted in recovery mode and cleared cache

 -->> no effect

Power Saving Mode is disabled

Factory Resrt is not an option.

Still having issues with this. Edge Panels not available to turn back on (control switch greyed out) and Dark Mode weirdness with Keyboard and other places eg lock screen, but can't change it - says not available (greyed out) while power saving is on, but it is not. I can toggle the power saving control on and off but it makes no difference

I am sorry to hear you are having an issue with your phone. Please follow the below directions to turn easy mode on or off:
You can access Easy Mode in Settings > Display > Easy Mode.

Hi Cluadette. Thanks for your comment but my Samsung does not have an Easy Mode option in the Settings at all.... Android ver 13, One UI ver 5.0. I have looked on the Display settings and done a Search and there is no reference to Easy Mode

Hi Claudette. As mentioned above, my Samsung does not have an Easy Mode setting (unless it has been hidden by some other process...) see screenshot
Also searching for it gives zero results

Hi, in case you're still struggling with this.

What helped for me is turning the power saving mode on and off again. Apparently, even though it showed as "power saving mode off", it wasn't fully disabled. Turning it on and off did the trick.

Lucky you. Also experiencing same problem. I have tried switching power saving mode on and off but still struggling 🤷‍♀️I don't know what else to do

Also having these very same issues. Can't turn off dark mode because phone says it can't do that while power saving mode is on even though it is not, and my edge panels are also greyed out. I am definitely not on easy mode. Hope someone can help.
