Why do our telcos in Australia make it so hard to transfer Esim? Esim is meant to be the future but it is so clumsy. Nano SIM pop out pop in away you go. Anyone remember CDMA phones? Basically the same as esim the number was tied to the phone. Then (credit card sized) sim cards come along in the late 90s and now in the early 20s we're back to where we started.
I just got my S22 ultra and transfering esim from Note20 ultra, Optus have no idea.

It's been a while since I've messed with this, but can't you self serve from the Optus app?

I have done it at a store a while back, they just gave me a new qr code to scan.

This tip has worked for me:
Warning ⚠️ , for advanced users only.

1. Connect your new phone to the internet.
2. Using your Optus app in your old phone, head to Esim section.
3. Request an Esim, via eamil.
4. An eamil with Esim will be sent to you.
5. Open the emil in the New device and download the Esim package.
6. After which, your service will disconnect from your old phone.

7. Yahooo.

This work many times, its saves your time, multiple phone call etc.

Note: this process work for me, be very careful and follow all instructions.

Let us know what works for you. If not, go in store if its safe to do so.

@TechinDmid80s great post. 👍
This is what I was thinking of in regards to self service via the Optus app.

Hi @whyharri, sorry to hear you're having difficulties transferring your eSIM to your new phone. I suggest checking with Optus support uner the FAQ section and following their guide on transferring to a new device.
