Hi @selfmademan ,

Just adding to the comments above, if the Buds are not connected (in the case closed, or if the battery is dead) the Samsung Find app will not be able to locate the Buds. Additionally, the function cannot be used to find the Buds case, therefore it is not showing up for you.

Like @Dolgogi has mentioned, the app will show the last known location of the Buds (when you took them out of the case), but unless the Buds are out of the case it won't be able to track the current location or play the sound, similarly to how it won't be able to beep if there are foreign substances blocking the Bud or if there is debris blocking the IR sensor.

Hope this information helps.

Warm regards,

Why do you feel the software is flawed?
When the buds are in the case and it's closed, they are disconnected.

So I don't think it's a software flaw, but rather a feature Samsung could implement in future buds cases perhaps 🤔

The whole idea of find my is to locate the buds inside and outside the case.

Samsung never claimed that, as far as I'm aware.
Rather, they advise the following:

"To find your Galaxy Buds 3 when the case is closed, open the "Galaxy Wearable" app on your phone, go to "Find My Earbuds", and select "Start"; this will attempt to locate your buds even if they are inside the closed case using the last known location on your phone, though they won't be able to play a sound while in the case."

So you want to find your Buds that are off-line and in your case?

I literally have a Smart Tag attached to my Buds for this reason.
