Hi guys. My fps drops in Cod mobile from time to time from 120 to 30. In order to get it back I just need to swipe from the bottom or from the top/open notifications panel/quick bar.

In Warzone Mobile, FPS drops every time when the killcam is showed, similar issue. It is back to normal after swiping from the bottom/top.

I have:

Battery saver turned off

Performance profile - Standart

Power bypass turned on

Alternate performance management turned off

Additional modules for games are not installed

Don't see anything wrong with your settings, so I'm thinking this might be an app issue - something that COD Mobile devs might need to fix.

Have you tried running a lower graphics quality to see if it works better?

Yes, I am already on lowest graphics setting, however the FPS is set to uncapped in WZ mobile and to 120 in COD mobile. Issue happens in both apps, but differently, something is lowering the refresh rate, and it's not Samsung's default feature of the Game booster optimization. The refresh rate clearly drops by mistake and is instantly back to normal once you double-swipe from bottom or from the top. Reinstalling both Apps does not help.

I have enabled dislay refresh rate in Developer options and can confirm that it switches from 120 to 30. I have also found out that the refresh rate in CODM drops when adjusting the volume.

Update:

The issue can not be spotted in a previous video. It appears that FPS stays the same, but refresh rate drops, so it's not possible to see the change in video.

Solution:

Nevertheless, I've found a workaround for Warzone Mobile. I've installed Galaxy Max HZ app (you can find instructions on git), and install it using LADB. Then, I've set static 120 hz refresh rate for WZ Mobile. The workaround does not work for COD mobile. Cod mobile uses it's own settings and overrides custom settings.

For COD mobile, the best solution on Samsung S23 would be using a phone cooler. With it I almost do not experience any fps/refresh rate drops in BR, and do not experience it in MP at all.
