Greetings,

Hoping you can assist with a couple of questions.

1) Photos on Gallery are not backing up to Google Photos. I have tried numerous times to rectify this problem but failing to achieve much success.

  • II have cleared on the cache and data.
  • Disabled and reenabled google photos.
  • Forced stopped google photos and restarted app
  • Done a soft reset
  • Logged out of google account and logged in again
  • Updated app
  • Have backup and Sync turned on

and still not having any luck!!

I am also receiving a message on my google account that says:

Cannot connect to the internet. Some info may be outdated or not shown. Refresh wen you back online. Problem is - I am connected to the internet and can access all my apps (except signing into Ytube)

Question - is this a phone issue, google issue and most importantly "how can I resolve"

Second issue

Gallery camera is showing 2 photos in grey with an exclamation mark. I cannot delete these photos. The details are not showing which path they are saved in.

- Could this be causing any problems?

- And how can I delete them if I have no idea of the location.

Thank you so much for reading and assisting.

Hoping it is a simply fix !

Hi, thank you for reaching out. Are your photos saved onto an SD card or onto your internal storage? This may be the cause of both issues. If your photos are saved automatically to SD card, you may have to use a computer/laptop to transfer photos from your SD card to Google photos.

For the second issue, I would suggest clearing cache and data of your camera app to see if this helps.

Let me know how you go!

Thank you for that, @Happygirl2. Is your Gallery connected to OneDrive as well? I would suggest disconnecting this sync. To do this, go into your Gallery app > ☰  > Settings > Cloud sync > disconnect.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for yout ongoing support. I am not syncing with one drive. Perhaps its a Google photo / Ytube issue. My concern is my galley is now showing many grey photos with a white exclamation mark. However i cant delete them
Or identify location. Sorry to ask so many questions. Feel free to tell me if you cannot provide additional assistance. Appreciate all your help.20210611_171052.png

Hi @Happygirl2, thank you for this information. Could you also check that the sync is toggled on in Google Photos app? To do this, go into Google Photos > Photo Settings > Backup and sync > Back up device folders > toggle on all the folders that you would like to back up. Please note that Google only provides 15GB free, but you can purchase additional storage.

For the photos with the exclamation mark, I would recommend sending an error report on the Samsung Members app so that our team can assess the issue remotely. To do this, follow the guide here: https://r1.community.samsung.com/t5/tips-tricks/sending-error-reports/td-p/9617204
