Green line and pink line issue on my galaxy s22

Yesterday, january 18, greenline suddenly appeared on my screen. Now, january 19, this midnoon pink line appeared. Two visible lines, green and pink. I went to samsung yesterday, they said a screen replacement would cost 15000 philippine pesos (256 USD), even tho I'm still on warranty. I bought this last year July 2024. What's free is only the labor cost of the technician. This is so sad, never have I encountered this before with samsung phones (I had a72 and a53). Might be my last samsung phone.

You bought only last year? Seems like that youre not aware of S22 model and below are prone to green/pink/white lines etc. Moral lesson, watch first phone reviews in yt before buying. Feel sorry for your lost.

I wasn't aware, and I did watch phone reviews on youtube. Mostly, it only said about having bad battery life. I feel hopeless, I feel that the lines would gonna keep adding up. I also found out that only replacing the amoled screen is the solution. Does s23 to up dont have green line issues?

S23 so far is safe, only old models starting from S22 and below, note series and old model A series.

okay, noted. I think I'm gonna replace the screen soon. I might as well gonna stick with it for a little bit. and get used to it.

Do not generalized, you are attacking flagship phones. What is your basis of saying so? Backup your argument.

if you have A71 or A73 they may suffer green line, both A72 and A53 are safe from green line

refer to GSMArena, Super AMOLED+ has a chance suffer green line issue while Super AMOLED in A72/A53 have strong resistance against green line

S Series has LTPO Dynamic AMOLED which has a chance getting green line

I see. I did have a72 and then a53 before. Very solid midrange phones and never had greenlines issues. I have s22 now, and unfortunately among the people that encountered this issue. Nevertheless, im not gonna lie, the display of my s22 is very good, until I get these annoying lines hahahhaa. and also, what could have been the problem from most of these cases? software updates? or got drop?
