Galaxy S
Like millions of users of Galaxy phones released before 2025, I have also waited very long for the release of the One UI 7.0 based on Android 15.
I had high hopes the update would be a game-changer on user-experience. I always read articles and watch videos featuring the improvements the new UI would bring to my S24 Ultra.
I finally got the UI update on 11th of April, and my excitement was evident with how immediately I customized my phone settings after the update. The customization span from reorganizing my home screen, app drawer, lock screen, battery protection, AOD, Now Bar to setting modes and routines. Ka-BOoM! Man, my phone felt new and looked refreshed!
Recalling, one of the articles I have read before the official release of the new UI, it said the new UI improves performance and the battery life. This made me happy as I don't need to upgrade to the S25 Ultra just to get some boost on the battery and performance of my unit. I'm not sure if my phone's performace have improved, maybe a little as the animations looked smoother. However, after the update was installed on my phone, what I'm certsin about is that, I noticed the battery drains faster than before the update, and the handset heats up easily when I'm gaming. I understand phones heat up during gaming, but my handset heats up more easily after I got the update. I play the same games pre- and post-update. I'm not sure if it's just me or there are other users experiencing the same.
The heating issue, I presumed, is the same reason why other units are getting the green line issue on their screens after the update. It was already explained million times in various articles and videos that heat streses the OLED panel causing green lines.
Samsung, any word? Thank you.

Nagaadapt pa siguro sir yung device sa new update or try to drain yung phone. Major update kasi. Drain - hayaang nakaoff ang phone while charging - 100% charged na but don't remove the wire and adaptor sa socket - on - wait for 3 mins. bago tanggalin yung wire.
