Galaxy SHey Guys,
Recently after the June security patch, A green line appeared on my phone, and from what I've seen it's a pretty common issue that Samsung has acknowledged and is in the process of issuing free screen replacements for devices. I took my S22 to the repair center at 1utama only for them to tell me the Galaxy s22 is not covered under the screen replacement program and I would need to pay RM600+ to get it replaced? A bit frustrating cause It's been less than 2 years since I have been using the phone have never dropped it or had it fall into water. I've taken really good care of the phone with not a single scratch on it and with all these issues occurring due to manufacturer issues beyond my control, I am expected to pay quite a bit of money on top of what I have already paid for this "flagship" with it being one of the only ones not covered.
Super disappointed in Samsung right now as someone who switched their whole ecosystem to Samsung along with my phone and I want to see if there's a way we can push these other models to be included in the replacement program too. I am not paying close to RM700 (like half the phone's resale value) to replace my screen on the "flagship" and if Samsung customer support fails, this would probably be the last of Samsung for me. Since then 3 lines have appeared on my phone, another right in the middle and the third equally spaced between the two, and it's just generally very frustrating to use

Galaxy SI just got green line on my S22 ultra, tried to call and contact so many service centres and all of them said I need to pay rm700+ to change the LCD. So disappointed!! There's no damage on the phone and it is a known global issue but Samsung is not offering any help.

Galaxy SThe reason Samsung India offered free replacement screen was because it gain a lot of tractions in X (Twitter)
Their management is the typical 'take action when stuff got viral'!

Galaxy SI was searching for sentiments similar as mine and surprised it was not an isolated issue. Also bought S22 last Sept 2022. It has been ONLY 2 years and after the update in software, the next day 1 green screen line appeared then weeks or months after (can't track anymore) i have 5 vertical lines. ( 3 green and 2 pink)
It is frustrating to see that it has been like this after I updated the software. I though switching from IPhone to Samsung was a smart decision.
Seems like I got unlucky.

Galaxy SHey, i wanna share my same experience in this issue. After updating my S22 phone to the latest update in August. First, it was only 1 pink line that came through, and then after few weeks i have a total of 5 lines across my screen. After 2 months of update, I've decided to call Samsung service center, and they charges me RM 800-RM 1k for total diagnosis and screen replacement.
From a 10 years Samsung user, I am very much disappointed with how their products came to be. If this is how they care for their consumer, then I am going to use another brand for now. *sigh*
