so I went to the service center and was told that I will need to leave my phone and get it fixed within 2 weeks before I can have it back. Problem is I dont have a backup phone - super hassle na nga, pricey pa (from 11-12k) to repair for 1 freaking line 😫😤 most of my daily activities is in the phone so I cant afford not to have one 🙄
I just wish Samsung can at least provide a backup phone whilst it's being fixed since magbabayad naman for repair. I even ask - is getting an insurance before the repair will it help to lessen the fee?
A: No.. you have to get if fixed first then you can get an insurance/warranty --
Like what!!!???!! so I said "not worth it" anyway.
so for now I will have to deal with this annoying line, while thinking of switching to another brand 🧐🤔

just an FYI: the green line issue only appeared after a system update back in July😤

I also experienced this on my Note 20 Ultra. Just got an update for august security patch last week then suddenly last aug27 got a green line on screen. Like the phone was just on my bag while going to work and its not being dropped. I already emailed samsung after doing some of the troubleshooting from chat support and they suggested to bring it to service center. I visited service center today and they just quoted me for 14,057 for screen with frame replacement which I laughed mockingly. And then I said I will just email it to Samsung CEO and I ask if they dont have a repair instead of just replacing the whole **bleep**'e everytime. They offered a 11,700 for screen only without the frame. My phone was 2years5months old and was bought in the middle east which they defensively said that they also not covering international warranty. And immediately looks for even a minor dents. BTW i dont use plastic screen protector and my screen still dont even have scratches and cracks. They just can't admit that its happening a week after an update was made for most people. My older Note 8 from 2018 was still fully functional today! I'M SUSPECTING THEY JUST BUGGED THE UPDATES FOR OLDER MODELS THAT WILL NOT SUPPORT ANDROID 14 AND ONE UI 6.0 SO PEOPLE WILL EITHER SPEND ON REPAIRS FOR THEIR PROFIT OR BUY NEWER MODELS FOR THEIR PROFIT AGAIN ALSO. NEVER BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN!

No, even iOS now has screen issues, iphone 13 and 14 has sudden issue of white screen after software update. Ang pinagkaiba lng sa samsung hndi kailangan palitan ung screen ng iphone, kaya irepair.

I see, so for Samsung pala, display replacement is always the last resort.

DID ANYONE HERE ACTUALLY FILE A COMPLAINT TO DTI? https://www.dti.gov.ph/konsyumer/complaints/

Hi there IAmMaria,

Did you go through with the repair for your S21 Ultra?

Your device will be handled by technicians that were trained by Samsung engineers, and every repair center is upheld to the same strict quality assurance standards as our manufacturing facilities.

That said, your device will be repaired in conditions as close to factory as possible and will be repaired with parts ordered straight from our own warehouses - not third-party manufacturers (what some techs might call OEM parts.)  And each repair is done with specialized tools and processes - the same ones we use to assemble a phone from scratch.

no - cause price to repair is unreasonable. as I have mentioned in one of the comments here - i was left with no other options but a dead end. if U can give me a spare phone whilst it's being fixed then maybe I will change my mind

I filed a complaint to DTI and they already replied to me asking for additional docs including the Job Order number which I already got from Samsung. Samsung's head office here in PH declined my request for FOC for my Samsung Note 20 Ultra. I also have a Samsung Note 20+ 5G which started overheating after a software update on Feb 2023 and now the phone's display is dead. Then on Jun 4, 2023, there was a software update on my Samsung Note 20 Ultra then ***, the green line appeared. Plus, also in Feb this year, I bought an S23+ phone and guess what, it already experienced software issue (device is not Google Play certified), I only discovered it because it turned out that the device isn't compatible with Netflix (weird right?). I got lucky with my s23+ phone because it's still practically new and still under warranty so I asked for a replacement which they granted.

But I'm definitely pushing for my DTI complaint for my Samsung Note 20 Ultra phone. I suggest you guys do the same, it's very easy to fill out the form and submit it to DTI. They're very responsive and the whole process isn't complicated
