I want to permanently have the header in messages showing so that I can take actions eg dial with a single tap. This is for an S22 Ultra and S22 Plus etc

Hi there, the phone call option will always remain on the top right when reading the SMS or viewing a contact.

The other actions viewed in your screenshot are shown when it's a new number that is not in your Contacts list.

Umm. Actually no. This is the whole reason for my post. If you show the header then the next action you take, makes the header retract. And there you are, back to square one

Hi @mjurgens, this is because the header uses up space that may cut off messages when other actions are being taken, thus it retracts to show more of the texts.

You can click the ⌄ to see the drop down menu.

You are just stating the obvious. Maybe just go back to my first message to understand what I want to do. This was how older versions worked but now newer version are actually less user-friendly. I have now attached a screenshot from an older version showing how it manages to have more available in less space.

What I think you should be doing is taking this request to the development team and getting then to 'unenhance' the new version to be more like the old version while still perhaps maintaining some of what they were trying to achieve20220531_105633_98131_1653958593.jpg

Hi @a-drain, thanks for reaching out. Are you able to try:

Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > Gear icon of preferred device > Toggle on 'Calls'

Hi Laura, thank you I did that and got to toggle on calls and the 2 toggles were on, namely calls and audio. Should I untoggle audio?
