So I noticed hubby's phone contacts were jumbled in with mine, and deleted them. This meant his was deleted too. So he got them back and I had turned off his email from my phone.
Now they're back again. I need to remove them without removing it from his phone.

We have a shared email and I really don't want to delete it, but feel like I might have to, because he has a bazillion contacts, and I've only got about 30. I have turned off sync... but they're still there! I've cleared contact app cache... still there... help??

Hi @JoseyP, where are your contacts currently saved? If they are being jumbled on you and your husbands phone, it is likely they are being stored in your shared email address.

To avoid this, I would recommend going to your device Settings > Accounts and backup (This may appear as "Accounts & Sync", "Data Synchronization", or "Cloud and Accounts" depending which model you own) > Your shared email account > Sync > Toggle off contacts.

Note: If your contacts have been saved to this account, toggling this off may hide the contacts.

You can check where your contacts are saved by going to the Contacts app > ≡ > Text in bubble icon with the number of contacts.

Hope this helps!

Maybe you could delete then readd the contacts you want or use 2 phones
