Galaxy SCan you check the the mic and see if it's blocked with anything?

Galaxy SHi @hm13, as Jojejito mentioned above, have you checked if any dirt or debris is blocking your microphone? If so, your device may need a gentle clean.
Can I also get you to try this troubleshooting step to identify if a specific microphone is not working? To do this, open the Phone app and type in *#0283#.
For microphone1, you can hold the device up to your ear and speak into it as you would during a phone call. You should hear a feedback of your voice coming from the speaker to indicate the mic has picked up your voice.
For microphone2, speak into your phone as if you were on speakerphone and you should have the same audio feedback. If you do not, my best suggestion would be to back up your data and bring your device and proof of purchase to your nearest service centre to be assessed.
