I have the s24. However with the latest concerning One UI 7 makes me consider how good the phones and updates will be. I don't understand, when Apple release an update its done across all devices at the same time. No cherry picking.

For a flagship device, worth a bit of money makes me consider what I paid for. Is it worth it, or is Apple calling?

Jeez you have to be desperate to go to Apple, but other Android devices are an option. I have a number of other Samsung devices in my place that will need renewing at some point, not just the phone. Plenty of options from manufacturers that actually communicate with their customers.

Used to be google. Had several issues with google and when something goes wrong the support and assistance isn't there

Lol. Okay. But generally if your not happy you go elsewhere. If you put up with poor service that's on you.

This one ui 7 is a big update and a massive overhaul moving over to Vulkan
This is why in part it's taken so long to just reach this stage, having said that they definitely still should have been quicker to get it out at least for last years flagships months ago and have been pretty woeful in their communication to be fair
Re updates from Apple vs samsung..samsung has like 20 different phones all in different sizes, chips, ram and features let alone their tablets and whatever else.
Apple has what 5 phones that's it so there's the difference..
Samsung have just bitten off more than they could chew and in hindsight probably should have made sure at least last years flagships where good to go with thr releaseof the 25 models ( im sure the 25 series being so similar to last years didnt help any either...) and tried to once again be too much like Apple by trying to make it a big global release with what something like 70 plus different devices and have just messed it up. Apple and every other manufacturer has messed up updates to some extent but yeah this hasn't been great from Samsung especially as only last year they announced their extended software support
Fingers crossed we'll all get the update soon and hopefully will have been worth the wait lol
F me it better be

My issue is transparency. No one knows. I don't like that.

100% agree, they didnt even announce when we'd get ui 7 til what early/ mid march
Even the roll-out mess came from people on x/ twitter or social influencers..

Oh give us a break on this "20 different phones" stuff. They have made a total b*ll*cks of this situation. I have to think that much of it is down to a change (and incompetent change at that) of management.

There is NO excuse for the awful lack of communication. Have you seen ONE piece of information from Samsung management that wasn't a pointless and vague post from a pointless forum moderator?

Giving an example from another field, Korea was slated on a number of aircraft accident reports for the poor standard of communication in the cockpit by air crew. It was largely due to the ancient hierarchical society that existed in Korean culture. Nobody questioned and nobody answered. Seems to be the same still at Samsung.
