After the latest One UI update, I’m finding my phone harder to use:
The search bar is at the bottom now, which is uncomfortable to use.
The notification panel is split (right side = home options, left side = messages), which feels confusing.
The menu screen is messy, and the "Customize" option doesn’t let me arrange apps properly.
It feels a lot like an iPhone now, and I really liked Samsung’s old customizable style. I hope Samsung can bring back more user-friendly options or let us choose our preferred layout.
Are you talking about the web browser search bar or the app search bar in the menu? If you're talking about the web browser, the bar has been at the bottom for a while maybe 1 or 2 years now. I'm used to it now 😅 but it might take some time to get used to. I think you can check it in the settings?
This is one of the best upgrade ever seen in a smartphone and Samsung is the only OEM with this much level of customisation. Regarding your query you can still change it to your preferred level and make it look like how you want to be. If still unhappy with default home launcher, then you can use 3rd party home launcher and customize specifically to your liking. This is the freedom we get in android. Well ofcourse has to spend time learning on how to do it and search in Google. It will be worth it.
