Samsung website says it's been released, but my S24 Ultra tells me it's up to date:

I mistakenly joined the UK board while trying to find the solution to another problem, when I mentioned this they seemed to think I should be able to update.  Can anyone here confirm?

Thanks

I am in Australia, the device is in Australia, we are connected to an Australian cell tower, through an Australian SIM.  I am not behind a VPN, and an ip lookup shows my

Samsung Members installs, but opening it gives "Samsung Members isn't supported in this region. (9)"

It was received with Hong Kong postage labels but the Samsung website says the Members app is also available in Hong Kong, so it seems it's not a HK device either.  Full system info:

It's obviously a grey import, honestly I don't really care as long as I can get it to work properly.  The company that sold it to me is registered in aus and I can easily pursue them for a refund so I'm not really worried about it, I'm just trying to find a solution myself and move on rather than deal with it legally.

Any ideas?  Have you seen this situation before?

Does it have the mmWave antenna?

Yes, it has the mmWave antenna.  I did get suspicious I might have a fake, so I did a bit of googling and it has all the stuff that would indicate it's legit (mmwave antenna, S pen has little writing, IMEI matches what's printed on the back, etc).

Hey @dingdongditch,

This is the Samsung Members Australia forum.

If the Samsung Members app is not working, I would highly recommend that you contact Support from whatever region your device is originally from. You might have a device that does not support the Samsung Members app.

Also, once a software update becomes available, your device will prompt you to update. Alternatively, you can keep manually checking for updates by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Warm regards,

Other than contacting the seller, how do I determine what region the device is from?  I know I have a device that doesn't support the members app.

I also know how to check for updates, that is not my issue.  I am in Australia, the device is in Australia, but I cannot update.  That is the issue I am attempting to solve.

There is something seriously off here.

XAA indicates USA model.
However, from the firmware info it seems to be confused if it's an S24U or an S23U.

Edit: could be why you're not getting the update 🤔

Edit 2: further reading would indicate someone has changed the original CSC to the Global Forum CSC code (GFC)
This could be why Samsung Members is showing that error.1751522409347.pnguuidWoe6xb.pngFBPomFruQi.png

There is something you can try, but it's not supported by Samsung AU, and may factory reset the device.

You need to copy or write down the phones IMEI number.
Open the dialer and type in *#272*IMEI#
Obviously, you replace IMEI with the actual IMEI number.

If it works, you would then change the CSC to XAA (or USA)
This doesn't work with International phones, but may still work with the US model.

OK that's great info, thank you.  This gave me enough information to find this post: https://forums.androidcentral.com/threads/need-help-not-receiving-software-updates-in-new-s24-plus-p...

This seems relatively common, it looks like there are certain grey import phones all having the same issue as me and the fix seems relatively simple.  The seller has offered to repair it but it looks like I might be able to flash the U1 firmware myself and avoid waiting for them.

Thanks
