Running emulators on android 11 seemed okay, not amazing for a high end phone but okay. Now with android 12 update my exynos variant results in broken graphics due to a poorly done rushed update. The drivers need to be updated regularly and quickly as it is ridiculous that a high end phone is struggling due to a rushed update. Samsung please update your Mali drivers for exynos s21 ultra urgently thanks. Vulkan is barely supported too unfortunately. Can confirm on different apps this is not just the case of one application (both dolphin and aether sx2 result in broken graphics running android 12 which wasn't the case in 11)
Anyone else experiencing this? It's frankly ridiculous and more painful because you can't revert to android 11.
Graphics drivers really need to be updated this is infuriating. Wish I had the snapdragon variant instead as exynos support and performance has been disappointing 😞
Good morning @sawrig, thank you for your feedback on the device performance. In some cases, the 3rd party apps also need to be updated and optimised for the new update.
If the issue persists on multiple apps, I suggest sending an error report via the Samsung Members app for this to be investigated. Error reports are sent to our team to identify any deviations in your device performance, once analysed, our team will get back to you with a response to advise further.
To send an error report:
Samsung Members > Get help > Error reports > select issue category > describe issue and frequency > Tick ‘send system log data’ > Send in top right.
Thanks for that! Already sent system log data actually. The issue is a problem with samsung not updating their graphic drivers regularly enough, vulkan is missing features that make it up to date and opengl is broken currently. If you could pass this feedback, that samsung needs to update their Mali drivers (exynos) it'd be really appreciated.
