Accidentally left my phone charging in super fast charging mode overnight. Was horrified when I woke up because I realize I left it. Normally super fast charge the phone at 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Should I be worried?

I mean the phone is not even hot when I removed the charger. And I remembered there is this thing that wont let you charge when the port is wet, That applies to the overnight charge too I thought. Maybe Im just over reacting. Will it be okay?

Your phone's okay. Modern smartphones, like your Galaxy S stop accepting charge when it's full, so worrying about "overcharging" is a thing of the past. If you're worried about your battery health, you can enable Battery Protect to stop your battery from charging at 85% so as to prolong your battery health.

Thank you, Ecclesiaste, for reaching out to us in order to find out if it's normal to have your Samsung Galaxy device left in overnight super fast-charging mode.

Cheer up, we are here to sort out the issues, can provide quick fixes, and offer solutions to your worries.

Your Samsung Galaxy device device power is made up of rechargeable lithium-ion batteries; that is, an advanced battery technology that uses lithium ions as a key component of its electrochemistry and functions better than other types of batteries.

From a purely technical standpoint, you cannot overcharge lithium-ion batteries as long as they are in good working order. This is due to circuitry built-in to them to prevent this very thing. The circuitry is required because of the nature of the chemicals inside the battery.

Ensure that you are only using genuine Samsung Battery Cable & Adapter.

And, if it gets wet and moist, you can wipe it dry with a soft fiber cloth to remove the water droplets, debris, dust, etc.
