Network settings : Optus APN on SGS23 Ultra seems to be stuck searching for Australian Network when it should be searching for local (roaming) network in France? Shouldn't it be pointing to, searching for Orange Network?

Currently in France, have been using Optus daily Roaming pack for in/out 4G/5G calls and texts.
Bought eSim from Holafly for unlimited mobile Data for duration of trip.
Has been working fine until 2 nights ago, had mobile update to OS on 26 June, not sure if that is coincidence?

With Samsung Region Lock, Samsung ensures that their devices are only used on the market they're intended for. For example, smartphones that you buy in Asia can't be used in Europe and vice versa. You can cancel Samsung Region Lock making a 5-minute phone call with a SIM card from the market the phone is intended

If not buy sim from Free mobile and you will solve all problem with a local sim and then while u fly back put your Australian sim back, and maybe change Australia provider (I don't like optus just personal opinion)

Did you read the bit about the ESim from Holafly (on French network) working fine FOR 21 DAYS PRIOR TO THE 6.1 UPDATE ....COINCIDENCE????
As stated, it has nothing to do with Optus Sim, it too was working fine for 21 days prior to 6.1 update .... and after, when isolated in an iPhone.

Noticing a common denominator here...?

I'm talking about the phone got locked network after the update and to unlock the phone to foreign country sometime is needed to be used with the network of the country (not surrogate or roaming)by doing a phonecall for at least 15/30 minutes and it will be unlocked and fine to go (at least this happens to me when I came here in Australia with my italian provider with a samsung phone and I was told to do like this and it worked for me

"21 days working perfectly in roaming" .... How are you not getting that it is only since the 6.1 update?

The Holafly Sim was using a French network. It could not access anything.

Holyfly is roaming isn't a French sim and as u said 21 days work perfectly and then update (which it rewrite part of the operating system hence it could rewrite part of the modem file hence it could restore the lock

I was not aware of Samsung Region Lock, but I came to the same conclusion after reading his comments in a reddit post.
