Galaxy SHello I would like to ask if you have the same situation as mine wherein the S20 Plus has suddenly went into a full white/green screen? I went to SM Megamall and they're saying that they're going to charge me for LCD replacement. My warranty just got off last March as well, it's kind of odd.

Galaxy SIf you are sure that the white/ green screen in your S20+ is not due to physical damage (e.g. dropping the phone, exposure to moisture or overheating etc), then it is very likely due to a corrupted file or software/app in the phone. In my situation, my phone will intermittently switched back from total white/green screen to normal screen at times (signs that it is not due to physical damage).
You can try soft restart of the phone to see if it switched back from from total white/green screen to normal screen by pressing and holding the "Bixby/Side button" and "volume down button" till the phone restarts.
If you are in the same situation as me, below are some steps you can try to save your phone when it is back to normal screen mode. But please back up your important data and documents before proceeding as you will need to reset your phone to factory settings.
1) Wipe out all the data and Cache Partition on Your Samsung phone as there could be corrupted cached data causing the problem on your phone by selecting:
- "Settings", "Apps", "X", "Storage", " Clear data" and "Clear cache"
- "X" is one of apps in your phone and you have to clear data and cache for all the apps that is in your phone (as you do not know where is the source of the corrupted file).
2) Power off your phone and remove the sim card and any mini SD memory card (as you do not know where is the source of the corrupted file).
3) Power on your phone and perform a Factory Reset without minimal syncs and retrieval of apps and data from your Google account or cloud (as you do not know where is the source of the corrupted file).
- "Settings", "General management", "Reset", "Factory data reset"
- you will be prompted to verify your account (e.g. google account etc) and the phone will be reset.
- follow all steps guided by the software but minimize the use of syncs and retrieval of apps and data from your google account or cloud (you have to reset to a state that is like a brand new phone). You always install the apps that you want after your phone is fixed!
Hopefully, your phone resumes to normal operation by now and you will be able to slowly manually install apps and retrieve your accounts using login id and passwords.
Lastly, i want to emphasize that i am not an expert in phone repairing but just sharing my thoughts through personal experiences with my S20+. Hope it helps!

Galaxy SThis so called fix doesn't work for me, as a matter of fact, my S20 Ultra's green / white screen problem started after installing the update.
It happens sporadically though. Whenever the phone screen is not lit, when you want to unlock the phone, that is what triggers it.
But it happens randomly, good thing is it is not permanent, and goes away after a while of turning on/off the screen.
It is still a nuisance though, and I believe will damage the phone screen in the long term.
I hope Samsung fixes this.

Galaxy SThe same issue I have with my Galaxy S20. This is ridiculous. I hope Samsung will repair it for free. It is their product. This should not happen. It is unacceptable!
