S20 Ultras Suddenly Turns White Screen

As of last night, I had two units of S20 Ultras that got the white screen issues. Called the CS hotline was told it cost me around 300 plus excluding consultation charges of 32 plus.

Both phones should be out of warranty and was out the same time last night around 9 pm. Both phones are dearly taken care of with one as a daily driver and another as a spare for just browsing. Disappointed by the standard of the S20 Ultras. 

I have a third unit which is brand new which was purchased with the spare unit. I dare not switch it on as it might get the same issue since it was bought at the same time.

Samsung, you need to provide the consumers a fair answer to this.

Exactly the same happened to mine. Emailed Samsung, a 'Avinash aka Pradeep' replied with official garbage (see below),

However, we may suggest you to bring the device to an alternative service centre and kindly request the technicians to perform a thorough evaluation. We append the following information to assist you in locating our service centres.

Standard automatic reply. To tell u not to bother them with ur faulty phones and just buy a new one from them again.

Wah like that doesn't seem like self-damage leh.. what's the chance of both phones suffering the issue at the same moment.. even "luckier" than winning a lottery.. the One UI 4 software update seems to have damaged the whole S20 series..

And go pay at least 32 plus per phone without even guarantee of fixing the issues.

Yeah it's so stupid.. to ask ppl to pay for diagnosis.. which makes ppl all the more don't even want to look for them.. might as well go outside mobile shop. Most mobile shops offer free diagnostic fees.. and let u decide whether to continue with the repair anot..

Sometimes providing excellent services make ppl feel worth it to pay the extra money to have it serviced by them, although it may be expensive.

Samsung really needs to step up on their customer service. So far, saw Mrwhosetheboss youtube video before.. saying that Samsung got to have one of the worst customer services.. even some Chinese phone manufacturers e.g. Huawei perform better.
