Hi all,

I've recently acquired my S21 5G (not +/Ultra) and noticed that i'm unable to mark a Facebook messenger notification as a 'priority' conversation (i.e. chat bubbles appear above all others, notification instead shows persons profile picture vs messenger icon).

I know this is not a limit from Facebook as my Google Pixel 5 was able to support this functionality on the latest version of Android.

I note that for text messages (default app is not Facebook messenger), I am able to set as a 'priority' message.

Has a solution been found for this issue?

Thanks all!

Are you sure this isn't a Facebook/Meta issue?

I did a quick search and found Samsung Members in the USA has a similar thread about this.

A post there claims:

"Messenger suddenly updated and now they have their own bubble system. I've already reported it and asked them why they would do this. Now these new bubbles they added aren't grouped with the ones that we were using for all apps and I hate it"

Hi @Patty1050 thanks for reaching out. By the sounds of it, this may be a question better suited to the Messenger support team as you've mentioned the function still works on SMS messages.

I suggest reaching out to them for further clarification.
