My S21+ phone's PIN code got switched out after I did a software update few days ago. I can't afford to do a factory reset as I need the data in my phone since they haven't been backed up on my Samsung cloud (photos and vids). Tried find my phone but remote unlock hasn't been toggled on the phone. It's currently locked for 4 hours, tried the correct PIN code, even 000000 to see if they would set a default PIN but still can't get it to unlock.
Have been doing force restart, but I can't get to the Recovery screen, so I can't use the 'clear cache' method.
If anyone knows a way to get it to unlock without clearing my data it would definitely be of great help, please do let me know. I don't want to have to go down to the service centre for a blame session.

Ah.. don't think it's ur fault. Unlikely, someone will forget a 6 digit PIN, unless it's an accidental change of PIN by typing the same wrong PIN twice and it succeeded.

Will that happen? I have been typing it wrong previously before the software update and it didn't change my pin. That's why I'm suspecting it's the software update that caused the system glitch

Likely, it's the software update that resulted in this.

Sigh... Technology really is a double edge sword, so ironical 🫠

Yeah.. just like multiple users who have experienced green/pink lines on their phones after software updates.. till today, still cannot find out the root cause of it.

If anyone is interested for an update, went down to the service centre and of course they only provided the solution as 'helping to factory reset for free' which I have gladly declined since I know how to do it on my own too... The staff suggested to ask data recovery centres but haven't gotten any luck with those too 😕
