I notice my S22 Ultra have a camera lag issue after I send to Samsung Service Center and change motherboard due to GSM network issue. Honestly, I don't know is the firmware issue or the hardware after they change motherboard for me. Currently I already updated all firmware and software but still the same. May I know is the software issue or I should send back to service center again and ask them to check it?

Errr, they told you is GSM network issue? Really?

Anyways, you are not the only one with S22 series who facing this issue. There are more people are having the camera shutter problem since February 2022.

Btw, do your phone use up a lot of memory? Or any heavy application running in the memory. If possible, maybe you can try use different FPS to take picture and see what is the differences (like which FPS is causing the lag, etc). Also try out the virtual RAM too (like lower the RAM or make it higher).

You can try this step below:

If it still fail, guess you might need to give them a call to Samsung Support or visit their center again.

* Please do ask for a 1 on 1 exchange if possible because S22 is not cheap phone and you do hold the rights with the warranty.

They honor 1-to-1 exchanges? Or only when it is unfixable then they honor? My S22 Ultra recently serviced at lowyat Samsung centre. It was due to the selfie camera not turning On. When i switch mode to selfie, it causing the Camera app to be stuck with message "Warning! Camera Failed." at every launch. Only through "Clear App data" can I regain the capability of capturing images using the camera app for the rear main cams. What they told me, they replaced my mobo and selfie cam to solve my issue.

Problem was the 1st time they service, they secure the selfie cam off-center. Told me they fixed the selfie not launching issue so happily I collect my device from them. But was told to spot if there is any problem in this repair job. Went back home but noticed that the cam seems to focus on background but blur the selfie subject. Shine my torchlight on the cam and noticed it positioned upwards of the punch-hole. Went a 2nd time then they fixed it back to center. Wasted 3 days of mine. Now there is a new imperfection that I found left on my unit. When I shine my torchlight to the rear cams, there are fingerprint smudges on the 108MP lens and the 3x telescopic lens next to it, dust stuck on the inside of the lens glass. Didn't affect my picture quality but dam, I am severely let down by their professionalism of service. If there is a applicable 1-to-1 direct exchange, I would gladly take that up and not being experimented again.

Left me dust and fingerprint smudges. At normal indoor lighting okay but when a direct light like the sun or as I replicate using a torchlight, these are the quality.20220621_194630_9375_1655811992.jpg20220621_194758_9377_1655812080.jpg

Mine so far do not have this issue. Normally I clean the lens before I take photos 🤣

This dust is inside the lens. How to clean? Dust left inside after they refitted my selfie cam. Phone now in service again for 3 days. Sien
