My S22 Ultra will not recognize the Signia App I installed so as to be able to stream to my hearing aids.

The aids are connected via bluetooth to the app and listed in the pairable/paired devices on my phone.

However, when I click to pair on the list it says "an app is required" - I presume the one which is installed.

Any ideas ??

Thanks

David

Hi @Blanddag, that's strange.  Is the app open while you are in pairing mode?

Yes. It seems the hearing aids will connect to the app. But when I try to connect the phone via Bluetooth it says "an app is required", which indicates to me the phone does not recognize the app

Hi Blanddag, I was just recently trialling signia charge & Go hearing aids. I have a Note20 Ultra. Start from scratch. Uninstall and reinstall the app ( if you haven't already) and repeat the pairing again. In connections it should say "2 connections" when both aids are connected.
I have a Samsung watch connected at all times as well, and unfortunately found one sid would get "unconnected" randomly. I would have to go back into connections, disconnect the watch, the aids....then reconnect the aids first, then the watch to get "3 connected" divices.
But....this happened mutiple times a day.
I hope you have better luck.
I am hoping that Android find a fix that is compatible with hearing aids, as I do not want an IPhone.....but

Thanks for your comments. I think I have tried what you said among many "experiments". I am told by Signia this problem is now with Samsung and requires a software fix.
No matter what, I think I'll probably have a new phone or hearing aids...or both, before they resolve this issue🙋‍♂️

I have gone with the Widex Moment Sheer hearing aids. Unfortunately there are issues with the Bluetooth connectivity with these as well. The sound is much better with the Widex, no gurgling. ...but it will be in both ears, then the next call, one ear. Two days ago there was an update eith the app from Widex and it took a few minutes to do its thing and reconnect to the aids. Unfortunately, it has not fixed the anove issues.
Samsung and Bluetooth Asher? Please have a sit down with the app developers for hearing aids and get this, if not better, at least up to par with Apple.
