S24 WiFi 7 is not enable for Malaysia

Dear Samsung users. Just take note your s24 doesn't have WiFi 7 enable. Although advertised

i'm late to the party.

but i ordered a Samsung S24 Ultra (SM-S928B/DS) malaysian model.

And for wifi7 ap i ordered a tplink EAP-773 which should arrive soon.

So i will test this so we can put this to rest whether it works or not hopefully.

Just to be clear in regards to S24 series, only the ultra with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4 nm) has wifi7.

Whereas the NON ultra models in the S24 series with EXYNOS chips are on wifi 6e.

So no firmware update is ever going to enable wifi7 for those exynos chip models. Because that feature is not available in the hardware for them.

afaik only the S24 Ultra has wifi 7 capability. The regular S24 using exynos chip DOES NOT have wifi 7 because because the chip does not support it to begin with.

But the S24 Ultra with the snapdragon chip DOES have wifi 7 capability in it's spec.

however, for some reason samsung S24 Ultra malaysia does not have working wifi7. I haven't yet seen any other Malaysian claim they got it working. Also this was an official samsung statement assuming their cs was competent.

Basically they aren't disclosing when or if there will be a firmware update to enable wifi 7 for the S24 Ultra or not. This is my issue. They are simply just leaving us in the dark despite wifi BE aka wifi 7 clearly listed in the spec list for the S24 Ultra malaysian model

If the issue is waiting for Malaysia regulatory approval, just say that. Don't simply give us  a non answer and left wondering what's going on.

Hi all.. Just to update wifi 6e is enable on ui. 6.1 all good now. Not sure about wifi 7

that said, if you already have wifi 6e and can already use 6GHz for the reasons you mentioned earlier which i also agree is one good use for it, you probably don't need to waste money to upgrade to wifi 7.

But for me i am coming from wifi 5. That is around a decade of waiting already. Also there are many neighbours so the wifi is congested and without 6GHz that just makes it worse. So for me skipping over wifi 6e to go straight to wifi 7 is ok to do. More so for those still on wifi4 which you shouldn't be in 2024 😥

wifi 6e is enabled for me. I seem able to get 320 MHz channel width

I'm using tp link router with wifi 7 all it goes for s24 ultra is up to 6E only no luck for wifi 7

I tested S24 Ultra using a tplink EAP-773 but it's stuck at wifi 6e. called samseng support they said malaysia is only wifi 6e....

they didn't answer when or if we can expect any sort of update to enable wifi 7 or if that is even possible or not. basically no answer.
